George Eastman (July 12, 1854 – March 14, 1932) founded the Eastman Kodak Co. and invented roll film, which brought photography gorge eastman to the common man. Biography

Early years

Eastman was geoge eastman born in Waterville, some 20 miles southwest of Utica, in Oneida County, New York. He was the third george estman and youngest child of George Washington Eastman and Maria Kilbourn, both of the bordering town of Marshall.
