Origins

This Preclinical human anatomy and physiology Medicine WikiProject was created as a partner to WikiProject Clinical Medicine. The idea for this project also sparked off the newly-created Medicine anatomy and physiology and high school and syllabus Collaboration of the Week. The anatomy and physiology terms two projects are closely associated with this project, and have significant overlap in the editing of articles. Both are offshoots of WikiProject Medicine.

Goals

Preclinical medical sciences - including human anatomy, human anatomy and physiology syllabus physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, histology and many more related medical fields - are very important as a foundation base for clinical relevance and application. The state of many of the mnemonics anatomy and physiology basic anatomy and physiology pages is therefore a bit of a shock. It is hoped that this project and the medical "Collaboration of the Week" project can anatomy and physiology definition add to the depth and validity of preclinical teaching anatomy and physiology medicine.

Key goals of the project include:

1. Improving the organisation of material - there are many pages that have redirectional problems and incorrect categorization.
2. Improving the agreement on whether to use professional or lay terms, e.g., "anterior" vs "in front of". Many pages have a anatomy and physiology and high school mix of these terms, making it difficult to read by both professional and lay users.
3. Increase the content and integumentary system and anatomy and physiology number of articles - many articles are stubs and require an expansion plan. This explansion would be best done under consideration of a global organisation, online anatomy and physiology college courses to avoid a complex minefield in the future.
4. Adding a sense of the anatomy and physiology of the colon clinical relevance - the importance of knowing basic medical science would ultimately be directed towards clinical application or knowledge. Therefore, lay and professional users would hole's essentials of anatomy and physiology appreciate an increased interlinking between relevant terms, e.g., wrist and carpal tunnel syndrome.
5. Increase and attract enthusiastic editors - the medical pages are often updated by single users. This editing can essentials of anatomy and physiology lead to errors. This project provides a focus point for other users to review and correct articles.
6. Distinguishing mixed-knowledge pages - many pages have animal and human physiology/anatomy mixed in, which is difficult to read and can lead to anatomy and physiology course description errors.
7. Increasing the number of images - anatomy and physiology + cardio vascular system many anatomy pages are pictureless.

3) There are a million other WikiProjects like this one, why do you exist?

Preclinical medicine exists as a focal point of all the anatomy and physiology test basic science specialities which are involved in human medicine, such as anatomy and biochemistry. Other WikiProjects do not have the same sort of scope as we do and therefore may not be as inclusive interactive anatomy and physiology web site or structured in linking together articles. As an example, consider the WikiProject for Cell Signalling. They can write a beautiful article but mnemonics for anatomy and physiology aren't as concerned as Preclincal Medicine in linking it in with relevant medical diseases, pathology, and physiology, among smoking effects on anatomy and physiology of body other things. This is the speciality of this WikiProject, the ability to focus on the many medically-relevant disciplines as a collective whole, and their application to anatomy and physiology for animals medicine.
